Das ist mein Problem. Im Terminal sehe ich diese Meldung:

protonup-qt
/usr/bin/python: No module named pupgui2

Versuch pupgui2 zu installieren:

sudo python -m pip install pupgui2
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pupgui2 (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for pupgui2

Dasselbe Ergebnis wenn ich das mit pacman oder yay versuche.
Re-Install von protonup-qt hat auch ni x gebracht.

Nochmal protonup-qt deinstalliert und jetzt die Version protonup-qt-bin installiert.
Das ist ein Appimage das mit meinem AppImageLauncher kollidiert. Es startet zwar, grottenlangsam, soll aberjedesmal wieder intigriert werden.
Habe das wieder deinstalliert, hatte zuvor eine Kopie angelegt, und jetzt funktionierts als normales Appimage im dafür Vorgesehen Ordner in meinem Homverzeichnis.

Was soll das? Ein Appimage als -bin getarnt? Das sich hinterher mit dem AppImageLauncher beißt?
Wenn ich ein Appimage will besorge ich mir das woanders.

Aber das nur nebenbei, kann mir wer sagen was es mit dem fehlenden Modul pupgui2 auf sich hat, siehe Fehlermeldung erste CodeBox?
Wie bekomme ich das "normale" protonup-qt wieder zum laufen?

Auf Flathub gibt es diese Info dazu:

kein sudo mit pip... hab das gleicher Problem gehabt. zuerst protonqt neu bauen

danach gibt es wieder ein problem mit vdf
EDIT; hab nochmal timeshift widerhergestellt leichter gehts mit:

fertig. protonqt startet wieder

Aber das was du beschreibst, hat leider nicht funktioniert. Der gleich Fehler mit pupgui2

Nachdem hierbei ca. 2GB runtergeladen wurden und im Terminal nix mehr passierte, habe ich abgebrochen.

nutzt du dieses eigene Aur respo von manjaro? Bei mir ist die protonup-qt version bei 2.8.0-1
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/protonup-qt?O=10

wie dem auch sei, schau mal unter /home/user/.cache/yay/protonup-qt dort liegt die net.davidotek.pupgui2.sh die kann man ausführbar machen und starten, evtl auch dann ein makepkg -s ausführen...

hilft dir wenig aber bei mir läuft es wieder.

Was wohl passiert wenn ich das mache:

Ich werde es natürlich tun, aber erst mal abwarten was du dazu meinst.
Nochmal zur Erinnerung, protonup-qt-bin ist eigenlich ein Appimage. Wurde schon deinstalliert.

Du hast hier einen Denkfehler:
yay bietet dir hier die verschiedenen Version zum installieren an.
Deine Abfrage bedeutet nicht das sie schon installiert sind.

EDIT:
Der Befehl zum Abfragen was installiert ist müsste so lauten:

Hier kannst du zum suchen den ganzen Paketnamen angeben, es reicht aber auch schon ein Teil davon.

Das wird interaktive suche genannt oder auch Yaourt-Modus.. Dh wenn ich yay foo eingebe wird mir eine liste angezeigt die yay gefunden hat und mit einer zahl von [1-100] wenn ich jetzt das gesuchte Paket dort finde und installieren möchte geben ich die zahl die davor steht zb 4. dann drück man noch enter um das Paket zu installieren.

beide deinstallieren und nur eine Version installieren, logisch sonst stehen sich beide im weg. Chaotic-aur nutze ich nicht..

Entfernt ein installiertes Paket und seine Abhängigkeiten und Konfigurationsdateien.
Kannst du machen, die Pakete werden ja im Nachhinein ja wieder installiert.
