[TESTING UPDATE] 2016-07-26 – LINUX V4.7.0, HASKELL, PYTHON, KMOD

Another three days passed and we have a new update-pack.

Finally we have linux47 4.7.0 in our repositories. We also found the issue why VirtualBox doesn’t like kernels higher than v4.4. It is a combination of iomem and plymouth. By adding iomem=relaxed to your kernel command line in grub it boots just fine.

Other than that, we are shipping regular haskell, python and kmod updates, plus needed rebuilds to fix some known issues.

We are still evaluating a way on how to get a unified look for qt apps on GTK environments. More on that topic here. If you have segfaults, please post the exact application you used and theme, so we can help. Also start the application from a terminal so we get the error messages.

Archlinux upstream fixes are now from: Tue Jul 26 07:41 CEST 2016.

Please report any issues you may have with this update. Also read our troubleshoots to avoid known issues. Detailed changes can be found here. Additional it would be good to test one of our preview install medias to check these changes on a fresh install.
